GUT LOVING HOT CHOCOLATE

For the Sauce
1 small cucumber diced (I peeled mine, it’s optional)

7-8 medium sized green grapes

1-2 small garlic cloves (you can skip if you want to but this actually adds a great taste)

7 soaked almonds (you can take off the skins for a smoother looking soup)

1/2 a slice of multigrain bread (I used the last, crusty one)

150 ml almond/regular milk
3-4 ice cubes
Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish - 3-4 green grapes

1/2 litre almond milk
2-3 pieces of cinnamon
1 pinch of turmeric powder
Few drops of pure vanilla extract
1.5 Tbsp of good quality unsweetened dark cocoa (I used Hershey’s)
30 grams of sugar free vegan dark chocolate
4 cashew and 4 pitted dates - blended into a fine purée with some warm water
Honey as per taste (you can also use stevia/sweetener of choice)
Method
Method:
- In a saucepan, add almond milk, cinnamon and turmeric and bring to a boil.
- Add vanilla, cocoa and dark chocolate and simmer until the chocolate melts.
- Add in the cashew and dates puree and simmer until it thickens a bit.
- Pour into a mug, mix in the honey/sweetener. Wait for a minute or two before serving as this will further thicken. Enjoy! ❤️💪🏼🤗
