DESI KHEEMA TACOS

Ingredients (makes 1 large/2 medium servings)
Ingredients
For the Kheema
250 grams Kheema (mutton/chicken/soya/paneer)
1 Chopped onion
1 Chopped tomato
1 Tbsp Chilli - garlic paste
3 tbsp Tomato purée
1 tsp Chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Pepper powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Olive oil
For the bell peppers
2 Mixed sliced bell peppers
1 tsp Chilli - garlic paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Olive oil
You can also add half a cup of cooked rajma to this mix.
For the guac
1 ripe avocado
1 tbsp Chopped onion
1 tbsp Chopped tomato
1 Chopped chilli
Juice of one lime
Salt to taste
For assembling
For the tacos, you can make small chapathis using Wholewheat flour mixed with some beetroot purée OR you can just use the gluten free robust red flour from @thebetterflour Sprinkling of mixed seeds - pumpkin, sunflower, flax and sesame, Chilli powder, Grated cheese
Method
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the chilli garlic paste and sauté, followed by the onions.
- Next add in the Kheema and cook till water releases.
- Add in the tomato, spices, salt and tomato purée.
- Cook until Kheema is cooked and dry.
- Remove, and in the same pan sauté the bell peppers with the chilli garlic paste and salt for a few minutes and set aside.
- Make the guacamole by mixing all the listed ingredients together.
- Finally, assemble the tacos. Add Kheema first, then the bell peppers, guac, cheese, seeds and chilli powder. Dig in IMMEDIATELY. 😋❤️
