MASOOR DAL KHICHDI

Ingredients (makes 1 large/2 medium servings)

To pressure cook
75 grams masoor dal
25 grams basmati rice
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 slit green chilli
1 roughly chopped tomato
1/2 tsp ghee
1 pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
300 ml water
For the tadka
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 pinch of hing
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped green chilli
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
3-4 broken cashew nuts
7-8 shredded Malabar spinach/regular spinach leaves
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
Method
Method:
- Pressure cook all the mentioned ingredients for 10-15 minutes.
- Make the tadka with the remaining ingredients.
- Mix together, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with a bowl of thick curd. ❤️
